Adzly versus Adsense and others

If you have not heard of Google and Google Adsense, then you are probably living somewhere as a hermit, or you suffer from technophobia.

Google Adsense is the most popular contextual advertising on the internet. They have been around for some time and it is not likely that you can surf more than a few web sites without coming across Google Ads. However, they do have competition. Other advertising firms that I have used in recent years on my websites include AdBrite and Bidvertiser.

But, there is a new kid on the block! Its name is Adzly Adzly.

Adsense, Adbright, Bidvertiser, Infolinks, Chitika, Adlandpro, Clicksor and the dozens of other firms in the market place don’t hold a candle to Adzly .

Adzly has been around only since the last week in November, 2010. But, it has gone viral, and we will all see much more of adzly in the coming months and years. Those astute business people among us will also profit significantly from adzly . Especially if they are among the “early birds” catching this “worm”.

There is a well known saying that in business if you fail to plan then you plan to fail. Many businesses which start up do not continue operating longer than a year or so. There are many reasons why businesses fail, but one of the primary reasons is lack of adequate planning.

Every business regardless of its size should have a plan. Unfortunately many small businesses still start up without having a written Business Plan. Doing so is highly risky behaviour.

The good news is that assistance in producing a Business Plan is freely available. Without having to purchase any texts, soft-ware programs or paying consultants, anyone, anywhere can access appropriate free of charge from websites, and produce a reasonable Business Plan. Of course, if you are not a qualified Accountant or Solicitor and you plan to go into business, it is always advisable to obtain advice from these professionals first. Legislation varies not only from country to country, but also very often between different local authorities.

I have called this article “Aussie Business Plans”. The majority of the websites listed are Australian. I am an Aussie, and I have an Aussie bias. However, the resources listed in this article are available to anyone regardless of where you are geographically located. No doubt, if you decide to use your favourite search engine you will find many other resources that may be more specific to your requirements or the part of the world where you live.

The first site I recommend that you visit is “The Australian Business Enterprise Centres” website. It’s URL is www.beca.org.au When you get to the site you will see a link called “Starting your own business Checklist”. That link is to a pdf file which is an Australian Government Publication. Download the file to your computer, save it and print a copy to use.

The second site I suggest you visit in quest to obtain further information regarding Business Plans is an Australian Government site. The URL is www.business.gov.au

As you have already discovered there is heaps of information available free of charge on the internet for everyone wishing to prepare a Business Plan. Hello again. It's Sunday afternoon and I wanted a break from marking my student's assignments, so here I am writing this blog. End of semester is always a busy time for lecturers with assignments and exams to mark so that the results can be entered for our anxious students. I still have a pile to process and I think I shall be working late into the night.

Those of you who know me well will know that I have spent most of my working career working in education, training, personal and professional development . Many years were in the schools sector, but around the last twenty years has been working with adults. In addition to lecturing in tertiary institutes my company Professional Performance Australia has successfully conducted numerous short courses, workshops and seminars for businesses both in Australia and overseas.

Advances in technology in recent years has also brought with it changes in the modes of delivery in many courses. Online learning for a variety of reasons is becoming increasingly popular.

I have had a web site called Personal and Professional Development for several years. Up until the last week or so, it was concerned solely with Australian accredited courses. Well, I have transferred all of those courses to another web site, and I have completely redesigned my Personal and Professional Development web site. No only is it redesigned, all of its content is brand new.

I have a way to go as yet, but when it is finished it will have in excess of one hundred and forty pages of Personal and Professional Development which can be accessed online. In my spare time I shall be working on it and plan to have it completed some time during August this year. The structure and around thirty pages of content are already published.
